Requirements
Offering a new storage layer with SSD-like performance, Hydrolix was looking for an experienced development team that could understand their patented ideas and implement it to complex interfaces that will work with the same top performance on the frontend side.
The client came to us with a ready MVP that they wanted to take to the next level. After a detailed study of the product and its codebase, we recommended not just a simple refactor but a full redesign of the application. This approach allowed us to significantly improve the user experience and boost the product’s performance.

Solution
We agreed to start with the UX/UI Redesign phase, while ensuring the current app continued running smoothly for existing clients. The goal was to dive into the target audience’s needs and streamline the main user flows, making the experience more intuitive and user-friendly.
After completing the design phase, we helped to build a new version of the Hydrolix product from the ground up, using the latest JavaScript development standards. The new codebase was developed with React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript. We also migrated the business logic to the SWR library for improved data handling and performance.
We faced challenging tasks when it came to keeping some core parts of the old codebase, but adapting it to our frontend architecture patterns and successfully guiding the in-house client’s team to support the project’s source code internally.
We worked together for more than 2 years , developed more than 200 design screens and scaled our cooperation to Python development services.
